Edward, I cant agree with you better!! The laptop is 2 years old. Everthing says it is enabled and working but if I find what looks like aa newer version of the driver it says no device installed. When I reboot back into Windows 7, I have sound. I have hp g60 laptop when I trf to windows 8 from 7 no sound. If any drivers are required for the device, they will automatically be downloaded.
